† Duchess Ameli of Oldenburg

Duchess Ameli of Oldenburg née Princess zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg died on Saturday 26.03. at the age of 93. 
Mourning for the death of Duchess Ameli of Oldenburg: Although she lived at Güldenstein  Castle in Schleswig-Holstein Lensahn and recently  was no longer in the northwest Regon to host,  many remember her for her charitable activities. Especially as chairman of the Association of Elizabeth Children's Hospital was her care for the welfare of sick boys and girls there. Often the Duchess renounced at celebrations on presents for the benefit of the hospital. Daughter she is also as hostess in Rasteder Castle during major equestrian events.Duchess Ameli of Oldenburg, a born Princess of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg, died at the age of 93 years on Saturday, March 26th, in Eutin. With son Christian Duke of Oldenburg daughter Caroline Duchess of Oldenburg and daughter mourn Dr. Helene Duchess of Oldenburg and grandchildren and siblings.Duke Anton-Günther of Oldenburg, with whom she was married 63 years, had died in September 2014 aged 91 years. In August 2011 they had celebrated diamond wedding and received a Rasteder delegation. Long back for he Duke the renovation of the neoclassical Mausoeleum of the Family on the Gertrudenfriedhof on Oldenberg where he was also buried was a concern. Duchess Ameli will also be  laid to rest on this side. The funeral will take place in pirvatge  at the request of members of the close family and friends

Funeral of Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern

On Saturday 12. March i went to Sigmaringen where the Funeral of Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern took place in the Hedinger Church. As it was a private Funeral the streets around the Church where closed of. At the beginning we could stand near the Church but as the guests started to arrive we had to go behind the barriers. Luckily many of the guests arrive on foot and walked by. Some of the guests also arived in their cars but had to kleave them behind the gates. Only a few of the guests where allowed to drive in the closed Area. The Family of the late Prince and the swedish Royal Family where dirven in their Cars to the back entrace of  the chruch and entered and left the Church ouzt of the public eye. After the Service most of the gusts where drioven in Busses (which now stopped in the closed off Area) to Sigmaringen Castle whére a reception took place.

Fürst Wittekind zu Waldeck and Pyrmont celebrated 80th birthday

Emperors weather for Princely birthday: Fürst Wittekind zu  Waldeck and Pyrmont celebrated hi birthdsay on Wednesdaywith around 200 invited guests in the Stone Hall of the Residence Castle Arolsen.
On behalf he many illustrious wishers, including federal and state parliament, district administrator Dr. Reinhard Kubat and mayor Jürgen van der Horst, commended Government President Dr. Walter Lübcke popular and country connected boss in the castle.
The 80-year-old birthday boy thanked to its inherent humorous manner, referring to the surprise party that he had prepared the night before the family: A surprise guest was none less than Hollands former monarch, Queen Beatrix, came to Bad Arolsen. The cousin ofFürst Wittekind was most recently in 2008 for the 150th birthday of Queen Emma and opening Emma exhibition visited the local castle.
Fürst Wittekind took the opportunity to his introduce eldest son, hereditary Prince Carl Anton, as future boss in  house and chairman of the Foundation. Yet in the course of which surrender is officially completed. The specially designed family statute had been amended. The saw namely been an age limit of 28 years. Hereditary Prince Carl Anton is but 23 years old.
Fürst Wittekind, who clearly enjoyed the celebration on Wednesday with deployment of Waldecker gunners and serenaded the hunting horn, came to speak in his acceptance speech with black humor to his poor health and then but referred all optimistic about his mother, Fürstin Altburg, who turned  proud 99 years old.

Princess Alix Imagina of Isenburg christened

Princess Alix Imagina of Isenbrug the daughter of Hereditary Prince Alexander and Hereditary Princess Sarah was christened on Saturday 27.02. at the Church of Maria Heimsuchung in Birstein by the Bishop of Fulda. Her full name is Alix Imagina Blanca Irmingard Maria. her godparents arer her aunt Fürstin Isabelle zu Wied, Princess Maria Theresia of Thurn and Taxis, Baroness Eva Mayr of Melnhof and Veronika Böhm. The Princess wore a Family christening gown which was made in the 17th century for the Duke of Osuna a relative of the spanish King and Gouverneur of Mailand which like the Family Veil (worn by the sisters of the Hereditary Prince on their Wedding Days) and a train came into the Princely Famuily through a marriage in the 19th century.

† Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern

The swedish Court announced tht Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern, the husband of Pricness Brigitta had died today morning after a short illnes in a hospital in Munich. He was born in 1934 as oine of the sons of Fürst Friedrich of Hohenzollern and his wife Margarethe, née Pricness of Saxony. On 25.05.21961 he married in a civil ceremony in Stockholm Pricness Birgitta of Seden. The religious Ceremony follwed on 30..05. in Sigmaringen. The couple who had three children lived in Munich where the Prince worked as Director of the bavarian Art State Directions. Since the early 1990's the couple lived seprat the pricness spend most of her time on Mallorca but the remained married.
